Easy to eat, fun with friends or family, and delicious. “Finger Foods” have had their ups and downs, but are always a consistent party favorite. Although mainly served at parties and events, we want restaurants to tap back into the finger food world.
We Want Finger Foods! We may just be excited for the pool parties and summer snacks, but in general, finger foods are due for a comeback. And no, we aren't talking about those appetizers that you eat with a fork or spoon. We want to use our hands and dive into some amazing, bite-sized, true finger foods. There are countless recipes (which you can find via clicking any of the images here) that are simple and easy to make, as well as delicious to eat. It seems that restaurants are all trying to be fancy and delicate with their menus. However, we feel that it's time to introduce real finger foods that require minimal effort. Of course, many will say “I can make this at home,” but in reality, there's something fun about sitting around a table of friends and using your hands. Using utensils just seems to shift the vibe into a more formal occasion. It's unnatural to jab a fork into a potato wedge or piece of bread, so why bother at all when digging into appetizers? We need to stop overcomplicating finger foods and menus as a whole. Understandably, there has been concern about germs over the past few years. If we take it back to pre-pandemic times, asking a waitress for a small dish to split up appetizers was far less common. That's not a knock on grabbing a small plate either, but we encourage you to give your fingers a try and experience the rush of joy that eating with your hands can bring
